Corporate Sustainability Performance 2023

Main take-aways from our report:

1) Small and medium sized companies are on the rise in sustainability performance, surely pushed by the EU’s efforts to make ESG reporting mandatory for an increasing number of companies.

2) Firms headquartered within the EU and from sectors with higher environmental impacts also tend to receive better scores, which also underlines a strong correlation between sustainability related regulation and ESG performance.

3) Companies with a stronger involvement in our ESG Rating process also tend to receive higher scores, as this allows to gather more data and information.

4) Southern European companies are more involved in controversies than their Northern counterparts and social topics lead the way in our controversy analysis.
